On Friday, Dec 21, PriceSmart Inc. presented a check for $10,000.00 from Price Philanthropies Foundation for the Food For Life Network Food Bank to assist in providing and delivering groceries, meals, and other crucial services including free screening for sexually transmitted diseases, free medical and dental care, access to health and nutrition specialists, professional training, assistance programs and referrals.
According to Alberto Morales, Senior Vice President, Human Resources, PriceSmart Inc, "Our primary interest in our philanthropy is supporting families, and particularly youth, in disadvantaged or challenged communities, whether it is supporting senior citizens in Colombia, helping to secure supplies for preschoolers in El Salvador or helping to provide groceries or meals and nutritional education in Miami, what recipients of the PriceSmart Communities donation program all have in common is a need for the basic necessities. We are proud to provide that support."
